Summer 2017 is upon us which brings weekends full of live music in many of the quaint downtown cities around Atlanta. Grab a blanket and pack a picnic or visit food trucks while you take your significant other or family to listen to a local band!

Alive After 5 in Roswell takes place on the 3rd Thursday of each month through October from 5-9pm on the streets of Historic Roswell. The free Trolley runs from Magnolia street thru the District and connects to the City Hall parking lot where there are over 400 parking spaces. Each month, 5-6 singer/songwriters will be showcased. After each artist plays, they will head over to The Roswell Tap for more music. Alive After Five Facebook.
Concerts in the Garden returns this summer with a diverse lineup of acts at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, both at its Midtown and Gainesville locations. The 15th annual outdoor series features 11 great acts – eight on the Great Lawn at the Atlanta garden and three at the Ivester Amphitheater at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gainesville:

Ticket are $18 or $14 for Autrey Mill Members! At the door on Saturday tickets are $20, or $16 for Autrey Mill members. Seats are limited, so please purchase your tickets early. The festivities begin at 7PM with a pre-show social gathering in the Summerour House,with light refreshments, then walk next door to the Old Warsaw Church for the concert at 8PM. The church doors open at 7:30.

August 13 of Gwen Hughes & “Grit Hits!” This is the perfect way to wrap-up the weekend with family and friends at an outdoor concert at the Ben Brady Lakeside Pavilion. When it comes to the history of American popular music, all roads lead Down South. Gwen & The Native Land Band put your favorite hit records in an exhilarating, funky setting that will make you dance and sing along. All Ages;

Bring your own picnic and dine during the show at a table (decorated by you). For lawn seating, bring your own low lawn chair or blanket. Corporate Sponsorships are available. Each show starts at 7:30 pm and you can arrive at 6:30 pm to enjoy the nature center and gardens prior to the concert. *Adult beverages are available for purchase at each event, but remember, BYOB is prohibited. Invite your friends to enjoy concerts close to home at the beautiful Ben Brady Lakeside Pavilion where live music will fill the stage for Sunday night fun!

Home by Dark features the best performing songwriters and musicians in the country. 2017 marks their 11th year of concerts! Tables can be rented that seat 2, 4, 6, and 8. If you need something larger than 8, let them know. Table reservations include table and chairs. The food is up to you 🙂
HOME BY DARK is a “listening room” event. Guests are expected to refrain from conversation during the performance. Events are rain or shine. All tables are located under the pavilion unless otherwise noted. Gates open 90 minutes before scheduled start time. General Admission seating is located outside of the pavilion. No seating is provided for G.A. tickets, so bring chairs, blankets, etc. just no large tables. Personal/TV Tray size ONLY. All sales are final.

Food Trucks Every Friday May – Oct Food Truck Friday will take place every Friday at 6pm on Duluth Town Green from May to September alongside Fridays-N-Duluth.
Gwinnett Historic Courthouse lawn located in Downtown Lawrenceville 210 Luckie Street 30046. The annual concert series features popular local and regional bands from a wide variety of musical themes in a casual and relaxed outdoor setting.
The party starts at 8pm so come early… bring a picnic dinner or enjoy dinner at one of the incredible restaurants on the Square, then make the short 1-block walk down to the Lawn before the music begins!
Beer and wine will be available for purchase on-site at the concert from McCray’s Tavern. However, no outside alcohol will be allowed.
Free parking throughout the Downtown District. Feel free to bring lawn chairs or blankets but please note that no grills or open flames will be allowed in the park. And we love your pets, but please leave them at home.

The Newtown Park Amphitheater provides a delightful venue for the new city-sponsored Summer Concerts. While food and non-alcoholic drinks may be brought in, contracted vendors provide a variety of catered food and beverages, including beer and wine. Seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome on the terraced lawn. The concerts are free.

The annual FREE Roswell Riverside Sounds concert series is hosted at Riverside Park, 575 Riverside Road in Roswell on the first Saturday of the month through October from 7-9 p.m. There will be food trucks on location for each concert from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM so you can enjoy a great dinner without all the work.
