Stone Mountain Park’s annual Pumpkin Festival – Play by Day, Glow by Night returns bigger, better and brighter at Georgia’s most visited attraction. Visitors are welcome to celebrate the splendor of autumn during the park’s Pumpkin Festival, a family tradition featuring dozens of new scenes, thousands of jack-o-lanterns, a giant glowing pumpkin tree, costumed characters, glow-in-the-dark mini golf, a new flashlight tour, new games, new storytelling adventures, new glow-along party parade, and more nighttime family-friendly experiences. Discover a patch of fall fun on acres of natural beauty beginning Sept. 21 – Nov. 3 (select dates).
Guests can play by day and experience all of their favorite park attractions and special fall entertainment, then glow by night in a whole new light.
Glow by Night is an all-new, immersive experience with more than double the glow. Take a journey through classic storybook tales that come to life in 10 new themed areas featuring 40 newly imagined scenes with glowing lights, massive carved pumpkins, bubbles, fog and plenty of not-so-spooky, glow-in-the-dark adventures after sunset.
From fairytales to nursery rhymes, be part of the adventure as you encounter your favorite storybook characters. Follow the yellow brick road to Emerald City, discover an underwater marvel 20,000 leagues under the sea, meet Jack & Jill up the hill, and join the 3 little pigs for an adventure on the Scenic Railroad. Gibbs Gardens Fall Festival Ballground October
Gibbs Gardens offers 6 Fall Festivals!
$10 per person; $30 for 4 or more people; Children under 5 are free (all three homes included with each ticket, registration required) Children are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes and bring a bag or bucket to collect treats. Spooktacular tours begin at front door of houses, every 20 minutes starting at 5:00 PM.
- Barrington Hall: Experience haunted hayrides, Zombie handicrafts, period selfies, and encounter three former “residents” of the house.
- Bulloch Hall: Through the crystal ball history comes alive when your tour the rooms by candlelight and meet family members on this ghostly night. Find games, music and hotdogs in the goofy graveyard.
- Archibald Smith Plantation: Guests will be greeted by candlelight and with spirits from the Smith family wandering around there is bound to be ghost tales from the past. Create s’mores, enjoy hot drinks, and make a tootsie roll ghost.

More than 300 art and craft exhibitors and food vendors gather around the Dahlonega Public Square and Historic District in support of Gold Rush Days the third full weekend in October (Oct. 20-21, 2018). It is estimated that a crowd of over 200,000 visit over the weekend to join in the fun and excitement!

In Callanwolde’s magnificent Tudor-Revival Candler Mansion, catch live organist Randy Elkins of the Plaza Theatre, fun movie screenings by Atlanta Film Society, and surprise performances by the Callanwolde dance company Prime Movers.The night will be capped off with a DJ Willy Wow-led all-ages dance party and costume contest (with big prizes!)

The 2011 festival raised enough funds to build their 20th house.
