Ellijay is in its 47th year hosting the Georgia Apple Festival in Downtown Ellijay. Everyone is invited to enjoy the 41st year of the Georgia Apple Festival. There are over 300 vendors with handmade, hand-crafted items, as well as many on-site demonstrations of how selected types of crafts are made. This year promises many new crafts as well as favorites from past festivals. There is a parade and antique car show each year. The festival is October 13-13 and 20-21. Hillcrest Orchards (Hwy 52) Visit the market Labor Day weekend for Honeycrisp Apples! Other family fun will be available this weekend! Hillcrest Orchards features entertainment for the whole family: pig races and swimming pig races, pony rides, petting farm, milk Buttercup the cow, music, apple picking, tractor rides, Moonshine Museum, Giant Jumping Pillow
U-pick apples on weekends or visit their store to purchase a bag of apples/other goodies. The 18th annual Apple pickin’ jubilee begins September 8th and held each weekend through October 28!! The Hillcrest Cowfe and Hillcrest grill are open on festival weekends and server burgers, hot dogs, BBQ, fries, grilled corn on the cob, chicken on a stick, fried oreos, funnel cakes, ice cream and lots more.
Weekdays: Admission is $8.00 per person (walking age & up). Includes the petting farm, wagon rides and all our playgrounds- including the giant slides. Weekends: $12 per person. Pick your fun at the annual “Apple Pickin’ Jubilee” where you can pick your own apples, milk a cow, watch our swimming pig races, and watch live bands and cloggers on the Hillcrest Stage. Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge: Apples in the U-pick orchard are: Golden Supreme, Jonagold, Jonaprince, Beni Shogun (September Wonder) and maybe some Golden Delicious. Tractor rides available. Mercier ia a popular destination in Blue Ridge. Family owned and operated, open year-round, they offer multiple U-Picks throughout the year, Tractor rides, cafe for breakfast/lunch and store to purchase fruit and house accessories. Mercier Orchards is @ 1/2 hour from Apple Orchard Alley near downtown Blue Ridge.
Helpful tip – go in September if you want the best opportunities to pick apples yourselves!!!

Mack Aaron Apple House (Hwy 52) This apple house does not have a website but as you travel along Hwy 52 its one worth stopping at. Not a U-pick apple house but they sell multiple varieties of apples. They are known for their fried pies ( the bbq restaurant at the corner near 515 intersection also sells them – yummy and fresh!)
Panorama Orchards – Fresh picked apples and homemade goods available at this Orchard located on 515 just South of Ellijay. Panorama is known for their apple pies! New this year is homemade fudge. (Panorama is not on Apple Orchard Alley but its close.)
