To capture the image that your client is looking for, is not always easy for photographers. Good photographers have a knack for reading their subjects and taking that effortless looking shot. Photographers consider weather, lighting and location for their shoot. I recently had the pleasure of working with Aubrey Romeo of Aubrey Romeo Photography and she had her work cut out for her while working with us!
Aubrey had to contend with my 15 year old son who was not happy to be there. We met on a weeknight before dusk and James was concerned with his homework and being photographed is never at the top of his list! We had our Goldendoodle, Ginny, with us and she did not want to cooperate either. Ginny kept her tongue out and we used tricks to get her to look at the camera.
Aubrey was beyond patient and easy to work with. The location she chose was beautiful with various spots to capture unique shots. She photographed the boys in a field, by a stream and at a wood bridge. Aubrey made it fun and stressless for us! I felt like Aubrey captured our kids in their natural state if that makes sense. Brendan loves to smile for the camera – you just need to say, “Look here!”. Ever since James was a toddler, he has been difficult to photograph. He has a serious face but a smile underneath. He has this look of, “Come on , really?” Aubrey brought out the best in both boys.
