Ashebrooke Night of Lights Cumming
Every night in December their homes are lit to showcase the joy and wonder of the season.
It is not a “light show” – just 300+ homes lit up to varying degrees for the holiday season. However, yes there are a few homes with music to accompany their lights. ** Check their website for more information.
December 20 is the Ashbrooke Night of Lights for charity. For one night during the holidays, our neighborhood comes together and lights luminaries throughout the subdivision in support of a good cause. The tradition of luminaries comes from Mexico and is a beautiful way to celebrate the season, in addition to the amazing holiday lights many of our neighbors put up each year.
The neighborhood adopted this tradition in 2006 as a way for us to help a young girl and her family in the community. She had a rare eye cancer called bilateral retinoblastoma which was attacking her second eye, and required frequent trips to Philadelphia for treatment.
To our delight, the tradition lives on each year as lives are positively impacted for a greater purpose.
