Moms, this Cranberry Apple side dish is delicious with Turkey and as a side with many meals! I make this every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is very easy to make! Enjoy!
Cranberry Apple Recipe
Filling
3 cups peeled and chopped rome apples
1/2 bag fresh cranberries
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup sugar
1 small can crushed drained pineapple
Mix all and put in a 9×13 casserole dish
Topping
3 pks instant cinnamon spiced oatmeal
3/4 cups chopped pecans
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
Mix dry ingredients and add melted butter. Pour over top of the fruit mixture. Bake, uncovered for 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350.
I sometimes make this earlier in the day and then reheat with foil on it at a low temp before the meal. A friend gave us this recipe and I can’t imagine Thanksgiving or Christmas without it. It is so yummy you can really make year round as a great dish with chicken, turkey or pork!
