Legoland Discovery Center is new to Atlanta! If you are not a Lego Lover you will soon be once you visit this fun, interactive Legoland Discovery Center in Phipps Plaza! Legoland Atlanta will keep you and family busy with two rides, 4D theatre, play area, Lego displays of famous Atlanta attractions an eating area, Lego store and more!!
Parents and children first enter into the area where you learn how the Lego Bricks are made. Master Builder, Joshua Bohn, said he personally had his hands on almost every Lego brick in the facility. We learned how Lego’s go through the heating and molding processes and stepped on a Lego scale. My son weighed 13,000 Bricks!! FYI- Joshua also had his hands in the decision process over the Junior Construction Panel and said they rotate every year. So, if your child was not chosen this year please try again next year!
The Kingdom Quest ride is thrilling and fun for the kids as you ride 4 to a car and shoot at the bad guys with laser guns. Pictures are taken along the ride which are available for purchase and the one with the most points wins! In Miniland, we marveled at the Lego masterpieces of famous Atlanta attractions such as Turner Field, The Fox Theatre, the King and Queen buildings and more!
Then you enter a wide open area with concessions, a 4D theatre, play area and more! There is even a special area dedicated to Legos for the girls! Test your Lego creation against a simulated earthquake and see how long it will last! Build Lego cars and roll them down their raceways. Fly away on the Merlin Apprentice ride where the more you peddle the higher in the air you go!
(Little ones need to be 4 feet tall to be able to ride without an adult) The 4D theatre is not to be missed with its special effects – dont want to spoil the fun!
Please note: LEGOLAND Discovery Center is a children’s attraction and adults will not be admitted in to LEGOLAND Discovery Center unless they are visiting with a child/children. Beginning in May, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta will host an adult night on the second Thursday of every month.
This location is the third LEGOLAND Discovery Center in the United States.
