Celebrate Freedom Rodeo May 10-11: The Celebrate Freedom Rodeo returns to Alpharetta’s Wills Park Equestrian Center arena for its fifth year on May 10-11, 2019. The two-day, action-packed western celebration will feature special events for all ages and is sure to put the whole family in a hootin’ and hollerin’ mood.
The City of Alpharetta’s Recreation, Parks and Cultural Services Department is hosting this exciting and interactive event with Travis Young and the Bar W Rodeo Company. Bar W Rodeo Company is a family owned rodeo company based in Hayesville, N.C., whose mission is to continue a Western tradition rich in family values, good sportsmanship and camaraderie by promoting the sport of Rodeo in the Southeast.
Celebrate Freedom Rodeo will be held at Wills Park Equestrian Center, located within the 120-acre green space of Wills Park in Downtown Alpharetta. This local equestrian center boasts a covered open-air arena, offering great views of all the rodeo action with plenty of bleacher seating. This will be a rain or shine event.
Tickets can be purchased at the gates and are $15 for adults, $10 for children 5-10 years old. Children four and under are free. Wills Park Equestrian Center is located at 11925 Wills Road. Special parking and seating are available for handicapped persons.
Visitors can make a weekend full of adventure in Alpharetta. Pair the rodeo with the Thursday night Food Truck Alley and the Saturday morning Alpharetta Farmers Market for a full weekend of family fun. Booking a weekend hotel stay is easy at awesomealpharetta.com.

Live music fills the stage on the second Sundays, from May–September. Whether it’s a girls’ night, date night, or a you night, nature will provide the perfect backdrop for the evening. Bring a picnic, blanket, and plenty of food to share in this Chastain-style night of fun. Table and lawn seating is available. A Mother’s Day tradition in the City of Dunwoody, the crowd-pleasing Dunwoody Art Festival will celebrate its seventh dazzling show on May 11-12. It’s Rain or Shine! 10 a.m. – 6pm on Saturday 5/12 and 10 a.m. – 5pm on Sunday 5/13.
The Dunwoody Village area transforms into a whimsical artist market with fun for the entire family, and Dunwoody Village Parkway will become a shoppers’ paradise. Bestowed the trophy for the “Best New Event of 2010” by the Southeast Festivals and Events Association, Dunwoody Art Festival continues to attract the top artisans from across the country. Along with the partnership of the Dunwoody Crier, incredible community volunteers and the Dunwoody Rotary Club, Dunwoody Art Festival is a must-see!
A fun-filled Kidz Zone will await youngsters with great rides, sand art, imaginative crafts and games. A relaxing stage with continuous live music will be located in the NEW Festival Food Court (right in the heart of the Event) alongside the artist market in a shade-filled lot (next to the Renasant Bank). Check back for the most updated entertainment schedule. Sit down and relax before setting out again in search for that “gotta have it” piece of art. There truly is something for everyone at Dunwoody Art Festival!
On the second Sunday of each month, the High Museum of Art offers free admission for all visitors and special family-friendly programming from 1 to 4 p.m.
