Ocean & Acre at Halcyon has the atmosphere, food and location to make it your go-to land & sea restaurant! The name Ocean & Acre is perfect because they offer delicious choices for seafood and meat lovers ( gluten free as well)!
Brendan and I were spoiled last week by our waitress Teresa and Managing Partner Ali as we relished food food from the raw bar, soup, sea/land and desert! The Aperol Spritz was a refreshing start to the meal as we started with the Blue Point oysters.
The oysters hit the spot and I was pleasantly surprised to see Brendan try his first oyster – we added a spray of lemon juice, cocktail sauce, tiny bit of horseradish and put the oyster on a cracker. I had to fight him for the last one! We also devoured the steamed mussels which had a little curry making it unique and even more tasty. We followed the appetizers with the watermelon gazpacho which was a great next dish to have before the main course. And did I mention fresh crab meat added to the gazpacho?!! The melon and herbs were refreshing and had just the right amount of flavor.
For the main course, the Swordfish special with au gratin potatoes and spinach was absolutely delicious. Brendan’s Surf and Turf meal (filet mignon and shrimp) didnt have much left over either! There were so many choices between seafood or meat with different side options that it was hard to choose and I don’t think we could have gone wrong with any choice. Gluten free options are also available. The Breakwater drink with it’s fancy presentation didn’t disappoint either.
Our waitress was super attentive and right there with any needs. Save room for desert because the chocolate gelato and key lime creme brulee were incredible and rounded off the meal perfectly.
We can’t wait to try Ocean & Acre again soon and know that we will love whatever we choose! It is obvious alot of tender love and care go into their menus and how they present everything! Whether its a flower in the drink or homemade cocktail sauce for the oysters, the extra touches go a long way. My friend, Jessica, dined with her husband several night later and enjoyed the outside band. She loved the fish dip and crab meat on her salad!
I highly recommend that you dine and/or drink at Ocean & Acre with hubby, family or friends! This post is sponsored by Ocean & Acre. All opinions are my own.
