The Taste of Alpharetta has been named one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast for 2017 by the Southeast Tourism Society. This year’s festival will take place on Thursday, May 4, 2017 in downtown Alpharetta. It has become an annual tradition for festival goers, families and food connoisseurs and will feature over 60 restaurants, chef demonstrations and family entertainment.
“We are thrilled that the Taste of Alpharetta has been selected to appear in the STS Top 20 listings for 2017,” says Janet Rodgers, president and CEO of the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau. “The event has always been extremely popular for residents and visitors, and we feel this designation will help us spread the word about the event throughout the Southeast and across the country.”
The Southeast Tourism Society developed the STS Top 20 Events program to recognize successful festivals and special events across the Southeast. Events considered for the STS Top 20 recognition must be at least three years old and have attendance of at least 1,000. Travel industry experts select 20 events per month, and STS publicizes them throughout the United States. The complete list is published on two websites: EscapeToTheSoutheast.com and the Travel Media Press Room.
