Smoothie King is celebrating college football season with a new limited-time smoothie sure to have Georgia Bulldog fans cheering for more. The Big Dawg Smoothie, created by Smoothie King Alpharetta store owner Andrew Gehl, is the perfect, better-for-you treat on gameday and every day. Made with whole strawberries, raspberries, passionfruit juice, turbinado and protein blend, the Big Dawg is a delicious smoothie with a sweet-and-sour taste that guests love. Like all smoothies at Smoothie King, Big Dawg has no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives and absolutely no syrups.
My youngest son and I started treating ourselves to Smoothie King every month or so over the last few years. We especially try to go through the drive-thru on Friday’s for the $5 Smoothie specials at the Alpharetta location. Up until now, Brendan’s favorite has been the vanilla flavored Hulk. We were invited to try out the Big Dawg creation by the Alpharetta store owner and we were excited to sample something new and fun! The Big Dawg is tasty and packed with fruity flavors! Brendan, James and I also tried a few of the Wellness Blends, the Vegan Mango Kale and Lemon Ginger Spinach smoothies. Delicious! These healthy green smoothies were amazing and did not taste like you are drinking vegetables! I especially loved the Mango Kale smoothie that has a little more of a yogurt taste than the Ginger Spinach. The Big Dawg was the kids favorite hands down and we all left with smiles and full tummies! The staff at this location is exceptionally professional and friendly. I would like to give a special shout out to Akeem who was so kind to treat us and explain the different smoothies.
The Big Dawg will remain available through the Bulldogs’ schedule leading up to the SEC Championship Game. Try the Big Dawg at Atlanta area Smoothie King stores while it lasts!!
Founded in 1973, Smoothie King’s mission today is to inspire people to live healthy and active lifestyles through its Clean Blends™ promise. This brand promise focuses on blending great-tasting smoothies with whole fruits and organic vegetables while removing artificial flavors, colors and preservatives and added sugars in many of its blends.
Year after year as we ring in the new year with anticipation, many of us set goals and make resolutions with losing weight, practicing better self-care, and living a healthier lifestyle at the top of the list. And year after year, despite our best intentions, studies show that most of these resolutions get cast aside. How can we do better? How can we actually follow through and feel better on December 31, 2021 than we did on January 1?
Baby steps. Whether your goal is to lose weight, boost your immunity (especially as the lingering pandemic adds to typical cold and flu season), or simply start stepping toward a healthier life, making small, manageable changes is the key to resolutions that actually stick.
Smoothie King has you covered by making sure the easy (and delicious) choice is also the healthy choice. Smoothie King is quick and convenient with options that include drive thru, carryout, curbside pickup, online and mobile ordering. Their smoothies have always been cravable, and now Smoothie King has seriously increased the commitment to health by launching their new “Clean Blends” promise.
“At Smoothie King, we believe smoothies serve a purpose. We offer a wide variety of options from basic fruity smoothies to Keto and Paleo diet smoothies, from high protein meal replacements to veggie and vegan smoothies,” said Andrew Gehl, owner, Smoothie King Alpharetta. “But the best part is that our healthy smoothies always offer outstanding taste. And we never compromise on the quality of ingredients, so you know exactly what you’re sipping.”
Smoothie King has invested more than five years and 15,000 hours of research and development to create 150 recipe changes and updates as they introduce the Clean Blends promise. They use whole, non-GMO fruits and organic veggies and never use any syrups, hydrogenated oils or trans fats or artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. They even created a huge list of banned ingredients — the “No-No List” — aimed at increasing transparency so you can be certain what you’re eating (or drinking) is actually healthy.
Whether you want to make healthier swaps in 2021 to boost your immunity or lose a few inches, Smoothie King is a great choice to keep you on the right track.
AlpharettaMoms.Org was treated to smoothies at the store. All opinions are my own.
