AlpharettaMoms was at The Zone around Halloween and had a great time as always! We will be back on December 17 with holiday crafts. Thanks to Southern Baked Pie Company and our give back day with them, I have $94 to spend towards crafts for the event and The Zone!
AlpharettaMoms.Org recently volunteered at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in “The Zone” for a fun Thanksgiving themed event! On November 9, 2016, we (Thanks Dara S.!) we assisted the kids (who are in the hospital and able to come down to the Zone) with making various types of turkeys! The kids had all sorts of crafts to choose from to decorate aluminum cans or felt cans. Thanks Mary Kenealy for assisting with all the amazing craft supplies!
AlpharettaMoms.Org volunteers always enjoy lifting the children’s spirits in the hospital. Whatever the reason may be that they are there, if we can help put a smile on their face for just a moment, then we have done our job. AMO brings crafts to The Zone for a themed event several times a year. If you are interested in volunteering with us on our next visit in February please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is The Zone? The Zone at Children’s is an amazing accomplishment. Sponsored by the Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids, Troy Aikman Foundation, NHL and National Hockey League Players Association, the Zone is a place to go where the kids can have fun. The children may go to watch a movie, play games or go to a sponsored event. The ladies who work in the Zone are passionate about their jobs and keep a full schedule of activities to keep the kids entertained.
